holidays 2012

John and I just got back from spending the Christmas holiday in Kentucky.  As always, it was a wonderful trip but too short to see everyone!  We did get to meet up briefly with some friends and we got to meet one of our friends’ new baby and she was extremely precious!  It was super exciting to meet her and hear her tiny sneezes.

John’s mom came to stay at my parents house for 3 days while we were there and it was nice having the parents meet and getting the chance to celebrate with everyone.  We went to a country Christmas show, had dinner at the local winery, baked & decorated cookies, and lounged & watched movies with our parents.

We were thoroughly spoiled in the gifts department.  My biggest surprise was a trip to New York City in a few weeks and tickets to see a musical I’ve been wanting to see since it opened!  I cried when I opened that gift — John and I are going to meet up with my mom in the city for a few days so it should be super fun.  It’s been too long since I was last in NYC, can’t wait to get back up there — I hope it snows (but not the delayed flights kinda snow;)  New York City is one of my favorite places and I’m ecstatic that I get to experience a trip there with John.

Many exciting things in the works for 2013.  SO glad that world didn’t end because I have big plans for this upcoming year.  I’ll be back later to post some goals & plans for Twenty Thirteen!  But first up, I’m planning everything I want to do in NYC!

  1. A trip to NYC?? What a great gift! Hoping that’s a place I get to go to – and finally try flying – this year.

Your Christmas sounds like it was lovely. :)
